[Chicago, Illinois – March 8, 2011] Kinsella Group, a boutique investment bank and business advisory group, is pleased to announce that Robert V. Ward has joined the firm’s Advisory Board. With more than 40 years of experience in the orthopaedic industry, including more than three decades in senior leadership positions, Mr. Ward brings his expertise to bear on behalf of Kinsella Group clients interested in the acquisition and sale of — and capital sourcing for —businesses in the medical devices and life sciences sectors.

In conjunction with Mr. Ward’s work on the Kinsella Group Advisory Board, key members of Kinsella Group’s executive and business development teams have attended a number of recent healthcare and medical-specialty conferences and annual meetings across the country, including the 2011 invitation-only J. P. Morgan Healthcare Conference. Taken together, these activities demonstrate Kinsella Group’s commitment to serving businesses, owners and investors in this increasingly important industry.

Mr. Ward was most recently a co-founder and partner of Structure Medical Inc., an orthopaedic manufacturer located in Naples, Florida. Prior to the formation of Structure Medical, Mr. Ward served as an executive with several medical device companies, including Howmedica, Osteonics (a subsidiary of Stryker Corp.), Stryker-Howmedica Orthopaedics and Stryker Orthopaedics. He launched and led Stryker Orthopaedics’ Health Care Management, an initiative that provided hospitals and physicians with resources to increase revenues and create more effective cost containment through system efficiencies, clinical pathways and direct-to-patient marketing programs. Mr. Ward has also been a partner in a successful venture-capital startup, a Senior Consultant for a regulatory and medical marketing consulting company, and a partner and advisor in the development of specialty hospitals and medical endeavors across the United States and in India.

In October 2010, Mr. Kinsella, Laurence M. Barr (Senior Vice President-Business Development) and Mr. Ward attended the North American Spine Society Annual Meeting in Orlando, Florida. Also in October 2010, Charles W. Weikel (Director, M&A) attended the American Society for Surgery of the Hand Annual Meeting in Boston, Massachusetts. In February 2011, Mr. Ward and Mr. Weikel attended the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons Annual Meeting in San Diego, California.

In addition to meeting directly with healthcare providers, owners of physician practices, medical device manufacturers and other industry professionals at association meetings, Mr. Kinsella and Mr. Weikel were invited to participate in J. P. Morgan’s 28th Annual Healthcare Conference, held January 11th through January 14th, 2011, in San Francisco, California. This prestigious event featured presentations from approximately 300 companies, both public and private, over four days of simultaneous sessions. Additionally, keynote luncheon presentations were made by Jamie Dimon, Chairman and CEO of JPMorgan Chase & Co., and other influential healthcare and investment industry figures.
