The Special Situation or Workout banker is often the last relationship a troubled credit will have with a lender. Kinsella Group works hard to make the experience positive, rather than negative, for all parties.
Minimize Costs in Dealing with Non-Performing Credits Kinsella Group has a history of success in dealing with challenged credits, using a cost-effective "advisory" model which generates quick, powerful results at modest cost. This model focuses on early financial and operational analysis to identify major business issues and then, along with management, develops action plans to deal quickly and effectively with the issues. This approach relies on company management being both capable and responsive to direction provided by Kinsella Group. In those cases where management is not up to the task of turnaround, we will assist in re-staffing key positions so that adequate expertise is in place to effect the turnaround. Of note, Kinsella Group does not assume responsibility for work that is more cost-effectively performed by management - thus minimizing the cost of its work, for the benefit of the lender and the client. Exit Credits Quickly Kinsella Group's active investment banking practice provides an excellent means of exiting credits to maximize value for lenders and equity holders, by avoiding the liquidation route for troubled companies. Liquidation yields the lowest possible value for an enterprise, by selling tangible assets only, rather than the enterprise itself. Kinsella Group focuses on the entire enterprise and creatively markets its most valuable elements, which are often intangibles, ongoing product lines or distribution channels, and the like. In this manner, we are able to achieve results for lenders or equity holders that would have been impossible by simply putting assets up for auction. |
